Sax Shaw

The Little Gatehouse Gallery is proud to have acquired three original Watercolours by the late Sax Shaw.

 

Sax was one of the most significant Post war Scottish Artists his influence can be seen in Tapestry, Stained Glass and Painting.  His teaching has inspired a generation of Scottish Artists and Architects.  He was Director of the Dovecot Tapestry studios, Head of Stained  Glass at ECA, Fellow of the Society of Master Glass Painters and  Consultant to Basil Spence  on the  Coventry Cathedral Tapestry.

He exhibited widely. and his works hangs in Collections From the Church of Scotland to the  Rothchild's Banking group and now The Little Gatehouse Gallery .
