Brian Frost is as at home with oils as he is with watercolours. Originally training At Edinburgh College of Art, and graduating in 1979, Frost has continued to paint while working as an art teacher first in Cambelltown on the West Coast of Scotland and later in Lanark.

He has travelled extensively in Europe and his observations and sketches form the basis of his Studio Painting.
